Netflix Changed The Ending To “The Notebook” And I Still Don’t Like The Movie

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I don’t care for The Notebook. Now, don’t get me wrong: I am a romance junkie and I literally cry and everything. But I didn’t find The Notebook and the ending, in which Allie and Noah die in each other’s arms, didn’t make me shed a single tear. And apparently, the people at Netflix UK didn’t like the final scene either, because they straight up changed it.

According to Perez Hilton, “From what we can gather from various accounts, that scene [the above-referenced death scene] has been completely removed. In its place, a scene from earlier in the film in which elderly Noah says goodbye to Allie for the night, promising to tell her the story again tomorrow.”

Where I don’t particularly care much either way, the internet certainly does, as you can imagine:

Thus far, Netflix UK hasn’t commented on the changed ending. Maybe they don’t care either?

In the book, Noah sneaks into Allie’s room and after her gets next to her in bed, they lock eyes and it’s implied that they get it on.
