7-year-old girl With Inoperable Brain Tumor Wants To Receive Letters From Your Dog

Tomorrow comes another installment of Pet of the Week. But this isn’t pet of the week. I intend to write this girl a nice letter from our dogs (and not post it on social media, you’ll have to trust me) and I am asking you to help me in this endeavor.

A young girl in Wisconsin named Emma, has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. A few weeks ago, she was playing in the snow, having a great time until she came down with flu-like symptoms. Doctors found a tumor in her head. No child should have to go through this, but we can help. It’s clear from Emma’s pictures as well as her spirit she is a true lover of animals.

“If you knew Emma, she’s the most kind, big-hearted girl,” Emma’s father, Geoff Mertens told “Good Morning America.” “To see so many people take a few minutes out of their day to put a smile on her face is overwhelming.”

As an animal and cute little girl friendly site, I am using my extremely minute influence on the internet to ask you all to write to Emma. It could be your childhood dog, your roommate’s dog or yours. Let’s get her as many letters as possible. All thoughts, prayers, good thoughts, positive vibes and most importantly, letters from your pupper are super welcome to help Emma kick this tumor’s butt.

Her address is:

Emma Mertens
P.O. Box 230
Hartland, WI 53029
