The Clock Out Pet of the Week: Booker

Up today we have an Australian Shepherd from the Centennial State named Booker. Booker is an energetic fellow, named after Kentucky Basketball star Devin Booker as well as Booker’s Bourbon. I apologize in advance that some of the pictures are larger than usual, I didn’t have the heart to crop anymore out of Booker’s pictures as Kelsey submitted beautiful pictures and I’m jealous I don’t live in Colorado. You can follow Booker’s Instagram here.

Handsome fella

When he and his mom, Kelsey aren’t hitting the trails, Booker is chilling with his two best friends, a golden retriever named Tucker and an all-white Husky named Luna. He’s a bit too smart for his own good. He can open any sort of door, whether it be sliding or with handles. Cabinets aren’t off limits either and he’s always up to something. He’s likes to keep life interesting, I get it.

“Rocky Mountain High” is my second favorite John Denver song

Like many shepherding dogs, Booker is no stranger to keeping others in line. He was the largest in the litter and lets all the dogs at the park know it. He also enjoys herding his mom about the apartment. He’s the boss and he knows it.

Look at that face

As seen in a few of the pictures, Booker is all about the mountains. My brother also has an Australian Shepherd from Colorado so I can attest they are limitless with energy. But when he does run out, he is a known snuggler. We’re talking top tier, one percent snuggling pupper.

Booker and his human, Kelsey doing what they do best

Quite honestly, I’m super jealous of Booker and Kelsey. They get to live the life in the mountains of Colorado. There’s world class hiking a stone’s throw away in any direction. We at The Clock Out greatly appreciate the privilege of sharing Booker to the world. He has earned a consensus “good boy”, “would pet” and “needs extra treats tonight” honors.

If you have a pet you’d like to highlight, whether it’s a dog, cat, bird, lizard, snake or what have you, please send me an email at titled, “Pet of the Week” along with some information about your pet, Twitter handle, a few pictures for the article and Twitter. I cannot promise when it will be published, but I will do my very best to bring a new face and story every Friday at noon for your viewing pleasure.
