The Clock Out Pet of the Week: Frank

Week ends the week begins. Another unremarkable week down. Maybe you had something cool happen, in which we’d love to hear about but everything is copacetic in my neck of the woods.

To be quite honest, I almost forgot to write this. I’m heading up to the City of Brotherly Love a.k.a. the worst fan base in America, to do some brew tours and see old friends. Speaking of friends, we have a special guest this week. Our good friend, Jenna has been kind enough to share one of her furry feline friends, Frank, with us on this week’s rendition of The Clock Out’s Pet of the Week.

Like many animals, Frank was adopted, along with his sister Phoebe, as kittens in October. Yes, their namesakes come from Friends as the anointed best sibling pair (apologies to Monica and Ross). Frank Buffay Jr. is played by known Scientologist, Giovanni Ribisi. My first encounter with ol’ Gio comes from his portrayal of the medic in Saving Private Ryan, a personal favorite, as Irwin Wade. Great movie, check it out if you’ve lived under a rock the last 20 years.

While he may be named after a TV show character, he might as well be named after Frank the Tank of Old School as he’s one thicc boi. Frank has been known to lay down while eating, something that we’re all guilty of so I can’t really hold it against the guy.

Frank’s also a big time snuggle/cuddler. He gets under the blanket and lays on Jenna to sleep, similar to that of a baby. Both Jenna and I agree, this is about the closest I want to having a real baby. Frank is a surrogate supervisor, as Jenna is a lucky work-from-homer and he keeps her on task by climbing on her desk.

Remember earlier I mentioned the guy lays down while he eats? Well Frank is frankly a man of choice when it comes to his other favorite hobby, napping. He has many honey holes around the house where he sprawls out. Dog beds, laptops, sinks, couches, you name it, he’s slept there.

This may not come to a surprise to anyone, but Frank’s best trait is that he loves his sister kitty. He often will “talk” and “chirp” for her when she’s out of sight, likely also taking a nap although usually in a jammed spot. Franklin will then cede his favorite bed, as they have several so they can snooze together. I’d make fun of Jenna for her cat ladyness but I have three so something about glass houses….

Send me your dang pets my friends. We would love to highlight them, whether it’s a dog, cat, bird, lizard, snake or what have you, please send me an email at madoffinvestment@gmail.com titled, “Pet of the Week” along with some information about your pet, Twitter handle, a few pictures for the article and Twitter. I cannot promise when it will be published, but I will do my very best to bring a new face and story every Friday at noon for your viewing pleasure.
