It’s that time of the week again. It’s Friday. Not just any Friday, this Friday. And if you’re reading this, it’s 12:00 p.m. EST or after which means hopefully, you’re on the other side of your work day with your head thinking about quitting time.
First, I’d like to apologize for the lack of Pet of the Week last week. I was in no shape to be writing. Should I have written this earlier? Probably, but that’s not the spirit of the Clock Out. I just made that up to make myself feel better. What I can do is offer up a great pupper this week as recompense.
Without further ado, this week’s furry friend, Sully, comes to us from the Last Frontier, all the way from Alaska. What a fitting name. Sully’s mom is none other than longtime reader and good friend, Mel. If you’re not following her for the content, you’re losing out.
Sully came to Mel via Twitter DM when someone for whatever reason couldn’t keep him at 8 weeks old. Their loss is Mel’s gain, I mean look at this guy?
Sully was and is a fast learner. He was house trained in only two days and learned all basic commands like, “Sit”, “stay”, “paw” within a week and he’s never torn anything up. Must be nice. He has always been adept at keeping himself busy.
Sully’s been everywhere, man. He’s road tripped from North Carolina to Alaska and he enjoyed every second. He’s goes just about everywhere with Mel, including breweries, client meetings and the florist. When not there, he’s out in nature of the dog park. He did bark at some bears, which is probably not the best idea but I can’t say mine wouldn’t do that either. As one can imagine, Sully is well behaved and knows his manners in public.
Sully loves Alaska. He’s been a mainstay and friend for Mel since she moved there. He’s also a huuuuuuuge fan of the snow, which is unsurprising given he’s a fluffer. Sully’s got it all: he loves to travel, he doesn’t destroy stuff, he’ll fight bears for you and he loves the outdoors. What a guy!
We’ve got some openings for your pets and we would love to highlight them. Whether it’s a dog, cat, bird, lizard, snake or what have you, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org titled, “Pet of the Week” along with some information about your pet, Twitter handle, a few pictures for the article and Twitter. I cannot promise when it will be published, but I will do my very best to bring a new face and story every Friday at noon for your viewing pleasure.
