Can you believe it is almost August. I checked the calendar when my reminder went off to do the Pet of the Week because I never do anything before I have to. I’m sure no one here understands that.
This week we have an extra special guest. “Why?”, you ask. Because this special pupper was almost food. It broke my heart but I’m happy that our longtime good friend Hayley (follow if you don’t already) saved this special fellow from a dog eating festival in China.
Let’s have a warm internet round of applause for Hayley and it is my distinct pleasure to introduce to the world her dog, Ajax. Ajax enjoys the finer things in life, like taking strolls through Home Goods and letter the world know he’s been somewhere by leaving his scent. He enjoys watching other dogs play, choosing to sit off and enjoy the view. Ajax is a bougie boy, having his own passport on account of him being saved.
He’s afraid of Kong toys, which as one who has been hit in the sack with one of those big things you put peanut butter in, I’m with you pal. He’s been known to give suspicious side eye. My dogs do this with what we call, “shifty eyes” like they are waiting for something to happen. Ajax also likes to take naps. Same.
Ajax also loves his “well worn” (read chewed to pieces) Lamb Chop toy. He also enjoys showing love by standing on his hind legs to give hugs. This also doubles as a reminder that all the love is for him and for him only. What a good boy. Our friends Ajax even has his own Instagram, which you should also follow at https://www.instagram.com/ajaxtothemax91/
Got a sweet pet to share with the world? Whether it’s a dog, cat, bird, lizard, snake or what have you, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org titled, “Pet of the Week” along with some information about your pet, Twitter handle, a few pictures for the article and Twitter. I cannot promise when it will be published, but I will do my very best to bring a new face and story every Friday at noon for your viewing pleasure.
