The Clock Out Pet of the Week: Gulliver

Hey there everyone, it’s Friday so that means it’s another rendition of the best Friday at 12:00 PM EST tradition.

On this week’s episode, we have a handsome fellow by the name of Gulliver. Gulliver comes to us from Angelina (you can follow her on Insta as well). He’s a five year old miniature Dachshund mix with a heart of gold and a penchant for self care.

His favorite place in the whole entire wide world is the couch. He has a talent for picking the exact spot you were about to sit on. Being a little guy, you’d think a downward heine would deter him from this but I imagine it only serves as inspiration.

Gulliver is a USDA Grade A certified snuggler. True to his Dachshund roots, he enjoys to sleep under the blanket, where I imagine he roots and burrows. He’s not a morning person, either. Waking him up is a bit of a chore but I get where you’re coming from buddy.

Along with being cuddle monster, Gulliver is all about puppy kisses. Angelina conditioned (read loves him) and gave him so many as a pup that he now demands them from everyone he loves. He’s stands on your chest with zero regard for personal space, and walks towards your lips until you give him a smooch.

He’s a bit needy and a little anxious. He loathes squirrels with the fire of 1000 suns, where he protects his mommy with fervent zeal. He guards the kitchen windows to ensure that the squirrel menace isn’t on his turf, like a good boy. Like his travels, Gulliver is an enjoyable little dude with lots of love and friendship. We at the Clockout would not hesitate for a split second to give him pets and kisses.

If you have a pet you’d like to highlight, whether it’s a dog, cat, bird, lizard, snake or what have you, please send me an email at titled, “Pet of the Week” along with some information about your pet, Twitter handle, a few pictures for the article and Twitter. I cannot promise when it will be published, but I will do my very best to bring a new face and story every Friday at noon for your viewing pleasure.
