The Clock Out Pet of the Week: Teddy and Arnie

Monday…Tuesday…Wednesday…Thursday…FRIDAY! It’s that time of the week again, where anticipation meets reality. It’s weekend time, as well as our blogs Pet of the Week. There’s a nice slate of college football games on the docket and I’m off to a wedding this weekend.

Enough about me, it’s time for why you’re all here. On this week’s episode, as a special treat before the weekend, we have not one but two pets of the week.

Let me introduce you to these 2 furry gentlemen; Teddy and Arnie. These bundles of cuteness come from Tyler. Arnie is the red one while Teddy is a party color with 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye. They are both pure bred American cocker spaniels and both are rescues. As they are rescues we are unsure on their age, but the guess is around 5-6 years old.

Teddy is from Florida and Arnie is from South Carolina. As such, their hobbies include eating grass, eating tennis balls, napping, and protecting the house from all intruders. They enjoy multiple spots around the house including the red chair which they are not supposed to lay on but who could say no to them. Personally, I am a huge fan of any dog that is lazy but knows how to have a good time when it is time so these two are definitely my tribe.

Like most cockers, they are of the Velcro variety and can always be found within a paws reach of their people. Maybe its the hair, I am just not sure. They are friendly as can be and are equally at home lounging as they are getting love from friends.

Each of the tag team pupper duo possesses a special skill; Teddy can army crawl and can at times be found underneath couches or beds. Arnie has the unique ability to hunt all things on his walks. This includes squirrels and rabbits, as well as the invasive and ever evil garden gnomes. Id like to see Arnie tear up Winklebottom but that is just me. Garden gnomes kind of creep me out.

“Why hello there”

They both have strong separation anxiety so walking them or taking them anywhere is an effort but Tyler does it lovingly because I mean, come on, look at those faces. This frequently results in tangled leashes and impatient looks of “figure it out dumb human.” Who owns who am I right?

If you have a pet you’d like to highlight, whether it’s a dog, cat, bird, lizard, snake or what have you, please send me an email at titled, “Pet of the Week” along with some information about your pet, Twitter handle, a few pictures for the article and Twitter. I cannot promise when it will be published, but I will do my very best to bring a new face and story every Friday at noon for your viewing pleasure.
